Interviews

During this interview, I interviewed a student here at the University. This student was not very informed on the Coliseum, which more are not. This interview helped me realize that many students on campus are not informed, or have no idea what Memorial Coliseum has to offer. Going forward from this interview, I know that I have to make my documentary very informing to the public that will make it a must go see on campus. I now will continue with more student interviews to get more viewpoints on these questions.

Q: Have you ever been in Memorial Coliseum? If so for what event?
A: Yes, I have been in the Coliseum before, during sorority recruitment we had our bid day ceremony there. I also have been there for a women's volleyball game.

Q: What have you heard about the Collesium?
A: I have heard that it is very hot and that it has no air conditioning. I also know that it is a memorial to something, but im not quite sure what to?

Q: Who plays at Memorial Collseium?
A: Womens basketball, Chance the Rapper, Women's Volleyball

Q: What has the new renovations done for the Colliseum?
A: Probably a better floor to play sports on or maybe a updated interior. I think they made more seating for the fans too.

Q: Why was Rupp Arena created?
A: For extra space for the fan section since their success shot up and everyone wanted to attend their games.

Q: What more would you be interested in knowing about this historic Collisuem?
A: What and who is this a memorial to? Why is there no air conditioning? What other UK sport teams use Memorial Collesium as their home stadium?

Q: What do you think Memorial Collesiums role here at UK is?
A: To host sports and other special events. I feel that the Collsiem has lost students interest now that mens basketball isn't there.

Q:How do you imagine Memorial Collesium in the future?
A: I imagine that they will renovate it again with comfy seats, air conditioning, and other things that will grab students attention to want to go here more and make it more comfortable for event holding. I know if they put air conditioning it will be much more manageable to go and enjoy my time here.

Q: Do you know anyone who goes to the Collesium regularly for events?
A: I don't know of any personally, but I would imagine friends of volleyball players, friends of the womens basketball team, or anyone that goes to student organization events.

Q: Has this interview helped bring you any awareness to the collisuem?
A: Yes, it has made me interested in attending more events, and seeing what the future of this building holds.
